There's no better letter in the world!
Bloody painted lovely letter
The half-swastika of victory.
Have you won? Oh yes my friend.
Got our orders, and we killed.
That's the order we’ve got for peace
Told to kill — we do with ease.
Life, of course, is worse than death,
Darkness — lighter than the light,
Happy V Day over “fascism”, -
Even if we're now the fascists.

The poem refers to the new practice of Russian educational institutions being required to show their loyalty and support for the war. Teachers lined their children up in the form of a capital Z.
